about me
I'm Alun Davies, a chartered accountant and founder of Venture Accounting. I offer business owners bespoke accounting services that go beyond accounts and tax advice.​
​
I set up my business in 2013 because I wanted to be in control of my working life and spend more time with my young family. I get real satisfaction from helping people just like you, who have a desire to improve their businesses and their lives.
​
My background is not like that of most accountants. I have a very commercial mindset because I have worked as a director for investment banks in London and Asia, where the pressure to make money is significant. I'm used to problem-solving, improving complicated business systems and paying attention to small details that can have a big impact. I enjoy the fact that I can now apply the skills I gained working for big banks to benefit people who really need them.​

That said, probably my biggest strength is that I've been just where you are. I know the pressures that running your own business can bring, and all the responsibility of being in charge. But I also know how great it feels when things click into place and you manage to achieve that elusive work life balance.
